UOWD1513 - Academic Advisor
The position of Academic Advisor is integral to the educational purpose of the CLC. The role is focused in two broad areas. The Academic Advisor provides support, guidance and training to teaching staff on a day-to-day basis and through workshops as part of the professional development program in the CLC.
The Academic Advisor also works closely with students to help and support them in their language studies and their future university studies. As part of the CLC Management team, the Academic Advisor liaises with the Department Coordinator to ensure effective dissemination of information and with the CALL Coordinator on matters related to computer-based learning to ensure an integrated approach to lesson development and instruction.
Furthermore, the position involves engagement with the wider university community through membership of the UOWD Education Committee. Therefore, the role of the Academic Advisor is essential to maintaining the quality and standards of the language programs offered by the CLC.

The position of Human Resource Officer exists within the Human Resources Department to provide administrative support to the Manager, Human Resources in areas such as recruitment, compensation and benefits, records and documentation, training and payroll.

UOWD1511 - Examinations Coordinator
The position of Examinations Coordinator exists within the Academic Registrars department to provide support to the University in all areas concerning examinations and timetabling of classes.

UOWD1512 - Administrative Assistant
The position of Administrative Assistant in the Centre for Language and Culture (CLC) is a key customer service position for the University. The Administrative Assistant provides prospective and current students with important information related to courses, admission requirements, enrolment and progression within the CLC. Often the first point of contact for prospective students to the University is the Administrative Office who can have a strong influence on a customers’ decision to attend the CLC. Therefore, the role of the Administrative Assistant is central to the success of the CLC. The position also requires the ability to answer direct telephone calls, provide detailed course information and take messages. There are several other important functions related to student and materials management. All duties of the Administrative Assistant are to be completed in accordance with the customer focus and document security principles of the University of Wollongong in Dubai.
