Our Client is an International Telecommunication Company in Qatar,and we are inviting highly qualified and capable individuals, who are keen to work overseas, to join its management and technical teams.

The positions to be filled and the relevant requirements are:

1. Charging Gateway Specialist

• Provide technical expertise in the area of Mobile Value AddedService Platforms (VASP) with responsibility for Charging Gateway.

The existing and planned services are:

• Event based Prepaid charging (MMS, SMS, WAP, etc)

• Subscription and Volume based charging

• Prepaid Charging of Services when roaming Bundles (Data, SMS,MMS, etc)

• Prepaid Service Bundles (Data, SMS, MMS, etc)

• Mobile Ticketing

• eCommerce

• Introduce new Charging Gateway Services as per the QtelWireless Roadmap in co-operation with the Marketing ProductManagement, O&M, IT and other units.

• This position belongs to the Mobile Network ArchitectureTeam, whose task it is to develop and introduce new mobile servicesto the Qtel GSM, GPRS and UMTS customers. The role holder isresponsible for the technical implementation of Charging GatewayServices Roadmap as agreed with the Marketing Product Management aswell as the maintenance of the existing Charging Gateway Services toassure proper dimensioning and Quality of Service

.2. Senior Engineer – Triple Play

• Responsibilities include design, analysis, planning, detailedengineering, documentation, implementation, and evolution of IPMultimedia services over broadband networks.

• The function of this role is to spearhead Qtel's triple playinitiatives by developing, integrating and maintaining the requisiteservices namely IPTV, Video-on-demand, gaming-on-demand and otherinteractive services for delivery over broadband networks.3. Senior Engineer - Application & Services

• Role holder will ensure the timely and consistent delivery ofthe key internet services; messaging, web, portal, IP-Multimediaservices, authentication, DNS, design and maintain system database,operational support systems and web applications. Diverse Internetservices will be managed operated properly to insure customersatisfaction and introduce new breed of service offerings.

• Role holder works closely with subordinates and manager anddifferent functions in Qtel, as well as with vendors and consultantsto ensure timely and consistent delivery of effective, and efficientservices thus ensuring customer satisfaction at all times. Also hasto work closely with management to provide reports and statistics.

Also will function to maintaining a keen grasp of current and futureInternet and multimedia services and emerging technologies that mayfit our need for cost effective solutions to enhance service to ourcustomers and providing direction in implementing these solutions

4. Senior Engineer - Networks & Systems

• Role holder will ensure the proper design of Networks andSystems resources to deliver the services offered in a timely andconsistent fashion. The profile holder will be responsible for largescale network elements, carrier class Cisco routers, switches, Cacheengines, network management systems, security firewalls and IDS, loadbalancers, as well as carrier class system hardware, Sun SAN storage,fiber-channel switches, and enterprise data storage, and IP-Multimedia services head ends. Diverse QISP network and systemsinfrastructure will be managed operated properly to insure servicesavailability.

• Role holder works closely with subordinates and manager anddifferent functions in Qtel, as well as with vendors and consultantsto ensure network and system resources are properly designed such asto provide timely and consistent delivery of effective, and efficientservices. Also has to work closely with management to propose networkand system enhancements, Internet links capacity planning andcontingency planning of the infrastructure.

Also will function tomaintaining a keen grasp of current and future networkingtechnologies, IP-MPLS, VPN's, San storage and Clustering for maximumuptime. Assist the technical staff in troubleshooting the networkinfrastructure, network protocols and provide managerial andprofessional guidance to subordinates to ensure smooth operation

5. DVB-H Engineer

• To provide and coordinate all O&M activities for theoperations of the DVB-H system. . Participate in all of theinstallation, ATP and O&M activities of the multimedia systems (DVB-Hand Mobile Video Streaming). Troubleshoots technical problems of theMultimedia systems(DVB-H and Siemens MDS streaming platform)

• Value added services are one of the revenue streams towireless and it is growing tremendously. VAS Department isresponsible from all O&M activities of related platforms.

6. Engineer IN

• Perform a variety of comprehensive supervision andoperational tasks on the IN platform and supervise subordinate staffto enhance the network efficiency and effectiveness and use internalor external tool to detect and debug system errors. Ability torecover systems in case of failures.

• Value added services are one of the revenue streams towireless and it is growing tremendously especially prepaid services,wireless unit plan to increase the PPS growth and provide new VAS toits PPS customer base

.7. Engineer VAS

• Perform a variety of comprehensive supervision andoperational tasks on the VAS platforms and supervise subordinatestaff to enhance the network efficiency and effectiveness and useinternal or external tool to detect and debug system errors. Abilityto recover systems in case o failures.

• Value added services are one of the revenue streams towireless and it is growing tremendously. Wireless Unit is investingin it is current VAS platforms and planning to introduce newplatforms which will enable Qtel to offer it is customers new VASwireless services.

8. Engineer – IN PLATFORM

• Perform a variety of comprehensive supervision andoperational tasks on the IN platform and supervise subordinate staffto enhance the network efficiency and effectiveness and use internalor external tool to detect and debug system errors. Ability torecover systems in case o failures.

• Monitor the IN platform performance using traffic andstatistical reports. Assist and Carry out any upgrade activity andsystem acceptance in terms of software/hardware. Determine INrequirements with regards to any consumable items such back media andother. Study and analyze traffic patterns, alarm, filteringtechniques, and fault isolation methods. Propose processimprovements. Responsible for Configuration Management and S/Wlicenses management.

9. Engineer – Triple Play

• Responsibilities include design, analysis, planning, detailedengineering, documentation, implementation, and evolution of IPTVhead end systems

• The function of this role is to develop, integrate andmaintain the requisite IPTV Head end comprising receivers, redundancymatrix, encoders, streamers, digital Ad-insertion and elementmanagement systems.

10. DVB-H Engineer

• To provide and coordinate all O&M activities for theoperations of the Mobile portal. The portal includes severalplatforms within and outside of Qtel and will offer the followingservices:• Multimedia downloadable content

• Streaming on demand

• Live streaming

• Alerts and subscription services

• Special content for events e.g. Asian Games• Live Camera's• Etc.

11. AMP Asst. Engineer

• To provide and coordinate all day-to-day O&M activities forthe operations of the Mobile portal.

• Value added services are one of the revenue streams towireless and it is growing tremendously. VAS Department isresponsible from all O&M activities of related platforms.

12. ASST. Engineer IN

• Performs the front line supervision of activities related toinstallation, commissioning, repair, operation and maintenance of GSMIN platform and associated equipment.

• Experience in telecommunications in purely GSM Network and inIN Platforms preferably ALCATEL.

• C7 signalling knowledge

• Experience in Pre-Paid services

• Online charging concept• CISCO certified (CCNC CCNP CCND)

• Ability to trace and diagnose network and service faults.

• Good knowledge in HP/SUN servers.

• Good knowledge in data networking products i.e. switches,routers, firewalls.

• Good knowledge in IP based network.

13. DVB-H Asst. Engineer

• To provide and coordinate all O&M activities for theoperations of the DVB-H system, Mobile Video Systems(DVB-H and/orVideo streaming.

• Value added services are one of the revenue streams towireless and it is growing tremendously. VAS Department isresponsible from all O&M activities of related platforms.

14. Asst. Engineer VAS

• Performs the front line supervision of activities related toinstallation, commissioning, repair, operation and maintenance of GSMVAS PALTFORMS and associated equipment.

• Value added services are one of the revenue streams towireless and it is growing tremendously. Wireless Unit is investingin it is current VAS platforms and planning to introduce newplatforms which will enable Qtel to offer it is customers new VASwireless services.

15. Technician – Triple Play - (IPTV Head End)

• Responsibilities include management of IPTV head end systems

• The function of this role is to develop, integrate andmaintain the requisite IPTV Head end comprising receivers, redundancymatrix, encoders, streamers, digital Ad-insertion and elementmanagement systems.
