National Marine Dredging Company, based in Abu Dhabi requires the following:-

1. DREDGE SUPERINTENDENT
Applicant should have experience in Planning the execution of the project activities and ensure that they are performed in an economical manner, and to check and confirm the works according to the contract requirements - Maintain good relation with client /consultant - Ensure coherence and optimal functioning of the activities of all project team members, check and confirm of variations in the scope of work - Check and confirm planning and subsequent budget implications – check and confirm the execution of project quality policy and HSE policy.
Minimum requirements: B.Sc in Engineering - At least 10 years dredging experience - Good spoken and written English.

2. MARINE SUPERINTENDENT
Applicant should have B. Sc. Degree in engineering, marine or mechanical, at least 5 years working experience at similar capacity in dredging industry, strong leadership, planning delegation, team management, communication and people handling skills, Excellent knowledge in marine and maintenance management systems and technology.

3. DREDGE MASTER
Applicants should have experience in the operation of Heavy Duty Cutter Suction Dredgers. They must have experience as a Dredge Master in full charge of a dredger during shift operations, preferably with European dredge Companies.

4. CHIEF ESTIMATOR
Preparation of tenders for new works complete with method statements, construction program, cut/fill plans and all necessary justification of pricing - Preparation of contractor’s claims and submission of interim progress valuations - Preparation of annual budget and revenue statement including scheduling the dredger deployment for planning purposes for the next financial year and preparation of the year-end revenue statement at project level - Preparation of Cost Plans, Feasibility Studies and Tender submission including deriving Dredger outputs based upon material properties and Dredger capacity.
Minimum Requirements:
Engineering Qualifications in Civil or Quantity Surveying - With minimum 5 years experience in the dredging field.

5. ESTIMATOR
Evaluate all new works locally and internationally with view to increase market share - Submit tenders for new works, supported with method statements, construction program, cut/fill plans and all necessary justification of pricing - Prepare annual budget and revenue statement including scheduling the dredger deployment for planning purposes.
Minimum requirements:
B.Sc in Engineering - At least 10 years related experience, with 3 years in construction industry management, contract administration (specific to dredging field construction industry) and working knowledge and comprehension of blueprints and plans - Good negation skills, basic understanding of accounting principles and skills, plus MS Project, Timberline Estimating and Prolog working knowledge.

6. RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER
1) Direct contact and coordination with the Senior Dredge Master to improve the dredging plant performance as follows:
a) Optimizing the dredging production. b) Proper consumption of spares and consumables. c) Proper use of floating, sinker and shore lines. d) Working as Dredging Technical Advisor with proper link between deck side and engine room side to get the optimal performance of the equipment. e) Having a knowledge of cutter / pump out put.
2) Assistance and coordination on tendering.
3) Prepare and report all necessary information to the Chief Estimator and advise on the proper achievement of estimation.
Minimum-Requirements:
B.Sc. in Marine Engineering / Civil - At least 10 years practical and similar experience in dredging industry in a computerized environment - Leadership qualities, presentation and negotiation skills with good written, spoken English and good Arabic Knowledge.

7. CONTRACTING ENGINEER
Administer all contractual matters and keep the Project Manager, regularly, informed - Ensure all relevant contractual notices are submitted in accordance with the contract - Identify variations between tender and contract document - Liaise with subcontractors, prepare comparative statements and submit for approval - Dredging fields experience is preferable.
Minimum requirements:
B.Sc in Engineering from well reputed University - At least 8 years in similar job, experience in developing of qualification documents, proposal and client presentation, with solid background in Quantity Surveying - Skilled communicator , written & verbal.

8. BASE MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
Applicant should be qualified with a minimum of 10 years experience. He will be responsible for all electrical, mechanical and civil infrastructure including but not limited to Generators, Air Conditioning, Fire fighting, Roads, Buildings and Marine Installations. Proven experience with major contracting or consulting companies will be a distinct advantage.

9. TRANSPORT FOREMAN
Applicant should have relevant technical qualification and a minimum of 10 years experience in maintenance and repairs of light vehicles and heavy diesel trucks and buses, transportation and distribution of company fleet, should be able to follow up maintenance programs of company fleet to keep them in a good working condition, their registration, insurance and accidents and able to prepare reports and annual budget. A sound knowledge of computer skills and good English language knowledge.

10. HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC
Have a relevant Technical Qualifications - Experience not less than 3 years - Repair of (Dozers, Shovels, Excavators & Cranes) - Preferable read & Write English Language and Computer Skills.

11. SAFETY OFFICER
Having following skills:
1- Diploma in Industrial Safety or Equivalent - 2- Professional Knowledge of the marine industry and UAE laws 3- Minimum 5 years related safety experience in the Gulf 4- Good computer and skills of MS Office and Power point.

12. HYDROGRAPHIC SURVEYOR
Education, Experience, & Skills Required:
Must hold a recognised qualification in Hydrographic Surveying with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience, or 10 years Hydrographic experience in a commercial environment - Must be computer literate, with experience in modern Hydrographic data collection and processing methods - Should have a driving licence valid for use in the UAE.

13. QUANTITY SURVEYOR
Applicant should possess an internationally recognized qualification in Earth Sciences, e.g. Civil Engineering, Surveying, Quantity Survey, Geography etc. and have a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in quantity calculations and dredging works. A sound knowledge of computers pertaining to volume calculation software (e.g. TerraModel and a working knowledge of the MS Office suite of programs is essential.

14. ELECTRONICS ENGINEER
Applicant should have good organizational and communication skills and hold a B. Sc. in Instrumentations / Control Engineering with 5 years minimum experience in process measurement. Knowledge of Alarm, PLCs, AC Drive Systems and associated software with the ability to diagnose problems and provide solutions will be a distinct advantage.

15. ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN
Applicant should have good communication skills and hold a minimum qualification of B. Tech / Diploma in Electronics / Instrumentations with 3 years practical experience in Instrumentations and calibration, knowledge of PLCs, alarm systems and associated software.

16. CIVIL ENGINEER / 2ND OR 3RD MARINE OFFICER

17. TRAINING SUPERVISOR
Applicant will be responsible for the complete supervision of the whole training center and preparation of all training courses technically and administratively. He should be qualified and possess all practical and theoretical capabilities to manage the training center in a proper and scientific method, with a minimum of 10 years experience in the same field especially in high positions on board of commercial vessels. He should also be aware of relevant Marine International Conventions such as STCW95, SOLAS, MARPOL, and the latest advanced practices in training and development.

18. WATCH KEEPING ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Applicant should have either or both of the following types of experience: (1) Knowledge of Ward Leonard Drive Systems, utilizing DC machines up to 1000 HP and should have served a recognized apprenticeship and possess a minimum internationally recognized technical qualification. (2) Knowledge of Variable Speed AC Drive Systems, utilizing electrical equipment with capacities up to 2.2 Megawatt, knowledge of microprocessor based equipment, and must hold an HNC/HND or B.Sc in Electrical Engineering.

Primary objectives will include:

ENGINEERING MANAGER (OFFSHORE) - MPP
The key responsibilities for above position would be:
Leading and coordinating the engineering activities of the business unit, including technical delivery of all projects across all sectors like generation, Networks and utilities.
Maintaining reimburse ability of engineering resources at a level equal to or higher than targeted in the business plan.
Ensuring that the engineering group is ready and able to deliver technically in line with the company strategic plans developed by the sector managers by reviewing in house capability and liaising with other e groups.
Will be responsible for all staff in the engineering group including employee satisfaction and retention.

COMMERCIAL MANAGER

A Degree in Engineering and a minimum 10 years experience in relevant field, Good computer knowledge, particularly in Auto Cad, VP elite software Strong technical knowledge is essential related to ASME Sec.VIII Div I, Div 2, PD5500, Standard etc.
Must be able to efficiently communicate with the top management production and project.

GROUP ENGINEER MANAGER

Key responsibilities will include:
To plan, direct and coordinate the design and development of projects of the company in coordination with project management and operations management within the projects deadline.
To determine technical and goals within broad outlines provided by the top management which may include improvements in fabrication process. Etc.
To call for clarification meetings in start up phase of projects with Project Managers, Group Operations Manager and Cost Centre Managers.
To manage and overview all the Engineering offices of the company and follow Sap procedures.
To propose budgets and implement proper use of stock materials and preparation of PR's.
To continually improve the output with view of practical/construct ability issues.
A Degree in Engineering and a minimum 5 years experience in managerial level, Good computer knowledge, particularly in Auto Cad, strong technical knowledge and knowledge of administrative procedures such as budgeting, sub-contracting and supervision is essential.
European candidates would be preferred.
