Essential Job Functions: • Preparing the analysis of financial data and extracts and defines relevant information; interprets data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or to project a financial probability. • Reviews costs and performs cost benefit analysis related to projects and/or programs. • Identifies financial risks through the analysis of cash flows, financial ratios and assessment of performance in relation to peers. • Develops financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis. • Records, classifies, and summarizes financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. • Interprets financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisions. • Applies a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations and verifies documents for completeness and compliance with government and private agencies. • Uses various software applications, such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports. Qualifications: • Sound decision-making skills. • Fluent in English. • Good oral and written communication skills. • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related field; ideally a certified chartered accountant. • Five years related corporate financial analysis experience in a sound financial institution; additional education may be substituted for some experience. • Proficiency in the use of software applications, databases, spreadsheets, and/or word processing. The Diploma is designed to provide a qualification in education to graduates.
